Details on Assembly Plan Configurations
Information on the Create assembly plan ... command and the corresponding Configure assembly plan dialog.
With the Create assembly plan ... command, you can create assembly plans for specific sections of a drawing. In the Assembly layout settings dialog, you define the contents and appearance of the assembly plan or the layout tab on which the assembly plan is displayed.
When using layout templates that contain item lists, the affected components should also have item numbers so that the item lists are used accordingly.
You are here:
Name of the layout
Defines the name of the layout tab on which the assembly plan is displayed.
Layout template
Defines the layout template that is used to create the assembly plan.
Two layout templates are supplied in the AssemblyTemplates.dwg file. You can find this template file under the following path: .\CAD\Basis\User-Standards. If required, you can add your own templates to the template file. Click on Configure assembly plan ... ( ) to open the file for editing.
Layout template Assembly A3 M50: When using this template, the components are shown in A3 sheet format in a single view window with a scale of 1:50.
Layout template Assembly A3 M20: When using this template, the components are shown in A3 format in three viewports (front view, side view from left and top view) at a scale of 1:20.
Object layer
In this area, you define the layers for which the assembly plan contains components.
Single section / spool: All components of the corresponding pool are shown in the assembly plan.
Entire assembly / system: All components of the corresponding system are shown in the assembly plan.
Manual selection: After clicking OK, you can define the layers whose components are shown in the assembly plan by selecting the components.
Scale
In this area, you define the scale or display size in which the components are displayed in the view ports of the assembly plan.
From template: The scale of the template is applied.
Without scale (max. size): The size of the display is automatically selected so that the components in the viewports are displayed as fully as possible.
1: (...): Allows you to manually set a scale.
Labeling / Measuring
In this area, you define the specifications for labeling and dimensioning.
The first drop-down list determines the font size, the second drop-down list determines which additional information is output with the labeling and the third list determines the dimensioning style.
