Connecting to a Pipe (T-piece Installation)

Shows step-by-step how you can install a T-piece during the construction of a straight pipe and thus create a connection to another pipe.

Before you begin

You want to create a connection to another pipe with a T-piece during the construction of a pipe.

Requirements:

The Draw pipe < command is active.

Navigate to:

Procedure

  1. While drawing, right-click to open the context menu and select the option Connect to... and select the option Pipe (T-piece installation)....
    Note: For the command to be available, a first pipe section must be drawn, e.g. with a bend.

  2. Click to select the pipe to which you want to make a connection with a T-piece.

    This opens the Component properties T-piece dialog, in which you can configure the T-piece for the connection.

  3. Select the model of the T-piece and the nominal diameters for the inlet, outlet and branch.
  4. Exit the dialog by clicking OK.

Results

The T-piece is inserted and the two pipes are connected to each other with that T-piece.
