Connectiong to an Open Pipe/Duct Connection
Shows step-by-step how you can create a connection to another pipe during the construction of a pipe.
Before you begin
You want to connect a pipe to the open connection of another pipe during construction.
Requirements:
The Draw pipe command is active.
Navigate to:
Applies to: Heating, Cooling, Potable Water, Waste Water, Gas
Initial situation:
Procedure
- Start the Draw pipe < command and draw a pipe.
- Right-click to open the context menu while the command is active and select the open connection ... option under Connect to .... Note: For the command to be available, a first pipe section must be drawn, e.g. with a bend.
- Select an open connection on the pipe to which you want to connect.
The following context menu opens.
- In the context menu, select Start.... The program then offers you different variants for the connection in the drawing, which you can switch using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
- When the desired variant is displayed, do a right click or press Enter to create the connection.
Results
The connection to the open end has been established.
