Creating a T-piece Connection

Shows step-by-step how to connect a pipe to another pipe using a T-piece.

Before you begin

You want to create a T-piece connection with another pipe when drawing in a pipe.

Navigate to:

Project tab ➤ Discipline ➤ 3D planning ➤ Create tab ➤ Command group "Pipes"

Applies to: Heating, Potable Water, Waste Water, Cooling, Gas, Fire Protection

Procedure

  1. Click on the T-piece connection < button.
  2. Select the component connection of the open pipe section, which is shown with a green arrow.

  3. Select the pipe to which the previously selected pipe is to be connected using a T-piece.

    The Component properties T-piece dialog then opens.

  4. Make the necessary settings for the T-piece connection and confirm with OK.

Results

The pipe has been fitted with a T-piece and the connection has been closed.
