Subdividing a Pipe with flanges

Shows step-by-step how to subdivide a pipe by inserting flanges.

Before you begin

You want to divide a pipe into sections by inserting flanges.

Note:

You can also split pipes in other ways using the context menu: by delivery length, simple or with fittings/sleeves. The options offered for splitting pipes depend on the material class.

Navigate to:

Procedure

  1. In the Draw area, click on Divide pipe <.
  2. Select the pipe you want to subdivide.

  3. In the context menu with flanges and in the submenu, select a pressure rating.

    The flange is attached to the pipe.

  4. Place the flange with a click.
    Note: If you have enabled dynamic input in AutoCAD, you can determine the distance to the pipe end or pipe axis by entering values.

Results

The flange has been placed on the pipe and has thus been subdivided.
