Adding User Symbols to the Toolbar

Shows step-by-step how to add a user defined symbol to the toolbar.

Before you begin

You want to include a self-created symbol in a toolbar to be able to use this symbol later in your drawing.

Requirements:

You have already created the symbol in your drawing.

Navigate to:

Project tabDiscipline2D / 3D - Floor plan // 2D - Scheme planningCreate tabSymbols / Components command groupSymbols ...

Procedure

  1. Click Symbols ....

    The Symbols dialog of the current trade opens.

  2. From the drop-down list, select the User symbols Bar 1 entry.
  3. Right-click on a free tile to open the Properties dialog.
  4. Enter the desired name for the new symbol and click Create < next to Block name/file.
    The Properties dialog is hidden and the pickbox for selecting the desired symbol appears.
  5. Select a symbol in the drawing and confirm the selection with Enter.
  6. Follow the instructions in the command line.
    In this step you determine the insertion point and create an image of the symbol for displaying it in the toolbar.
  7. In the toolbar, right-click the new symbol to open the Properties again and make the desired settings.
  8. Confirm the settings by clicking OK.

Results

You have added the symbol from your drawing to the User symbols bar 1 and it is now available in the corresponding trade on the toolbar.
