Moving Components
Shows step-by-step how to move a connected or unconnected component to a different position using the Move component command in the context menu of the component grip.
Before you begin
You want to move a component to another position.
When using the command, any existing component connections are disconnected.
Navigate to:
Procedure
- Select a component in the drawing to display the grips on the component.
- Click on one of the rectangular grips to open the context menu for the component.
- Select the Move component command in the context menu to start the command. Note: Alternatively, you can move the component by entering coordinates in the command line. To do this, follow the instructions in the command line.
The component is attached to the crosshairs and you can move it.
- Place the component at the target position. Note: You can connect the component to another component while moving it to the target position by placing the component with a left click when the green connection arrow appears on the component to be connected.The program asks whether connected components should also be moved.
- Answer the query with Yes or No.
Results
The component has been moved to the target position.
