Inserting Components Into Pipe/Duct During Drawing
Shows step-by-step how to insert components into the course of a pipe or duct during the drawing process and then continue drawing directly on the component.
Before you begin
You want to insert components into the course of a pipe or duct during the drawing process and then continue drawing.
Requirements:
The Draw pipe < or Draw duct < drawing command is active.
The process is described using the example of a double branch in a ventilation duct.
Navigate to:
Procedure
- Select a first section of the duct or pipe up to the position where you want to insert a component.
- Do a right click.
The context menu opens.
- In the context menu, select the component to be inserted into the course of the duct, e.g. a double branch.
The corresponding component dialog opens, e.g. Double Branch.
- If necessary, change the specified dimensions and material settings.
- Click OK to confirm the entries.
The dialog closes and the component is attached to the last section of the duct or pipe drawn.
- Determine the alignment of the component by pointing in the direction with the mouse pointer.
- Click to place the component.
Results
The component has been placed and you can continue directly with drawing the air duct or pipe.
