Copy viewport settings

Shows step-by-step how to copy the settings of viewports in the layout area and how to transfer them to other viewports in the layout area.

Before you begin

You want to transfer the settings of a view window in the layout area to another view window in the layout area.

Note: This command copies and transfers the alignment, the viewpoint and the set zoom.

Requirement:

You are in the layout area and the model area is activated in the layout view.

Navigate to:

Project tab ➤ Discipline ➤ Planning type ➤ Tools tab ➤ Sections / Views

Applies to all disciplines.

Procedure

  1. Click on copy viewport settings
  2. Click to select the source view window whose settings you want to copy and confirm your selection by right-clicking or pressing Enter.
  3. Click to select the target view window to which you want to assign the copied settings and confirm your selection by right-clicking or pressing Enter.
    In the command line, you are asked whether sections should be switched off.
  4. Enter Yes or No and confirm with Enter.

Results

You have copied the settings of a view window of the layout area and transferred them to another view window of the layout area.
