Drawing a 2D Air Duct

Shows step-by-step how to draw a 2D air duct in the planning type 2D - Detail planning.

Before you begin

You want to draw a 2D air duct.

Navigate to:

Project tabDiscipline Ventilation 2D - Detail planningCreate tab

Applies to: Ventilation

Procedure

  1. Optional: Select a medium on the Create tab under Medium, e.g. Exhaust air.
  2. Click on the triangle on the Duct < button to open the options for the command.
  3. Use the radio buttons in front of the fields for the dimensions to select whether you want to draw a rectangular or circular duct and enter the dimensions.
    Note: For a round duct, select the radio button in front of Diameter.
  4. Optional: Select further options under Duct <. For example, specify whether direction changes should be constructed with a bend or an angle.
  5. Click on the Duct < button.
  6. Specify the starting point for the duct in your drawing with a click.
  7. Use the mouse pointer to indicate the direction of the duct to be constructed and a further click to define the next point for the course.
    Note: Bends or angles are drawn automatically when the direction is changed.
  8. End the drawing process by pressing Enter or ESC.

Results

You have drawn a 2D air duct.
