Details on the Context Menu for the Selected Pipe
Information on the context menu for drawing pipes.
Some of the functions that are available when using the Draw pipe < command can also be selected directly on the pipe using a context menu. When you select a component, several grips are available. Click on a grip to open the appropriate context menus for editing the pipe.
You are here:
Command | Function |
---|---|
Connect with axis point | With this setting, the previously drawn piece of pipe is shortened when drawing a bend. As a result, the pipe axes of the bend outlet and the subsequent pipe lie on the construction line. |
Connect with end point | With this setting, the bend is placed on the end of the previously drawn pipe. As a result, the pipe axes of the bend outlet and the subsequent pipe do not lie on the construction line any more. |
Move pipe | You can move connected and not yet connected components to a different position. If the target position is an open component end, the component can be connected to that point. It is also possible to move AutoCAD component groups using this command. |
Stretch pipe | If pipes are laid with gradient/slope, it can happen that two pipe ends do not meet but have an offset to each other. You can use the Stretch pipe < command to bring one pipes together. |
Dimension | The nominal diameter of a component in a pipe can be subsequently changed. The direction in which the dimension is changed depends on the reference line. If the position of the reference line has not been changed, the center axis is the reference line so that the dimension is changed equally in all directions. |
Properties... | You can use this command to view and edit the material properties of a component. |
