Construction height
In the Construction height section, you determine the height at which objects are drawn by setting the storey, reference edge and, if necessary, an offset.
Medium
Use this drop-down list to select the medium for the drawing and pipe or duct construction commands. Click on to open the Media table, in which you can manage, parameterize all available media and create additional media.
Material settings ...
Opens the Material and Insulation dialog where you can specify default settings for the duct and insulation material to be used.
Flange profile settings
Opens the Flange profile dialog where you can select and assign manufacturer profiles or user-defined profiles.
Draw cable duct <
Starts the drawing command for ducts. You can draw ducts from any starting points or from connection points of already drawn components.
Draw flex pipe <
Starts the drawing command for flexible pipes. You can draw flexible pipes from any starting points or from connection points of already drawn components.
Insert branch <
Inserts branches into existing ducts.
Insert double branch <
Inserts double branches into existing ducts.
Put socket on <
With this command you can provide ducts or pipes with rectangular, oval or round sockets.
Connect <
Connects two open duct ends to each other.
Attach <
Connects existing ducts to drawn components such as outlets.
Create cutout <
With this command you can create rectangular, oval or round cutouts on ducts or pipes.
Once you make a cutout in a duct, you can continue working on that cutout as you would on any other connection. In such cases, the program automatically suggests sockets or branch saddles when a duct is connected.
Edit cutout <
You can use this command to edit cutouts in ducts. For example, you can adjust dimensions of cutouts or change rectangular cutouts to round cutouts.
Delete cutout <
You can use this command to delete cutouts in ducts. After starting the command, you can select the cutout to be removed. The cutout is removed directly from the duct.
Cover on connector <
You can use this command to attach and remove covers to and from connections. To attach a cover, select the connection after selecting the command; to remove it, select the cover to be removed.
Move component <
Moves components in your drawing. You can move duct pieces, outlets and air grilles in ducts. Flex pipes are automatically moved along during moving.
Rotate component <
Rotates components in your drawing. The components are always rotated around the correct axis in 3D so that the alignment of the connections is not changed.
For example, you can change the installation direction of built-in hand wheels or rotate them around their own axis (Rotate around axis).
For example, if you choose an outlet, you have the option to adjust your outlet to a certain angle of the ceiling. To do this, enter an angle in the Command line or point to the angle with your mouse.
Align component <
With this command you can align and connect duct sections through a combination of rotating and moving.
Edit component <
You can use this command to edit components that have already been installed.
Delete component <
You can use this command to delete components that have already been installed in ducts without creating a gap in the duct section. If you delete a branch, for example, the duct section will also be closed automatically.
Set section lengths <
Use this command to specify lengths of ducts. After starting the command, enter the desired section length in the command line and confirm. You can then select the ducts the section length should be applied to. Right-click to confirm the object selection.
Split into section lengths <
Use this command to split ducts according to section lengths.
Ducts are drawn as duct sections in your drawing. This has the advantage that you can process the sections more quickly and, for example, easily install and remove components such as silencers. The ducts you draw in one go are always created as a ducts section. For positioning and labeling, the section lengths must be divided.
Place cover on connection <
Use this command to define fitting lengths of connections and provide them with loose flanges. In the material list, additionally specified fitting lengths are shown and in the drawing the corresponding connections are provided with double white lines (loose flange).
Reconnect segments <
You can use this command to combine sections lengths.
Set angle <
Allows you to set the angle of the component in different ways from the command line. The following setting options are available:
-
Angle: Set the angle of the component by specifying an angle as a numerical value.
-
Show: Set the angle of of the component by picking a start and end point in the drawing.
-
Slope: Set the angle of the component by a percentage of the slope or gradient (negative values).
-
Objects: Set the angle of the component by selecting an object in the drawing.
-
Connector <: Set the angle of of the component by selecting a component connection in the drawing.
