Setting Layers for Network Detection

Shows step-by-step how to select layers that should be considered in the detection.

Before you begin

You want to check and define which layers should be taken into account when detecting the pipe/duct network.

Note:

If you are working with the LINEAR layer management and have not made any user-defined adjustments, the automatic layer selection will usually lead to the desired results.

Navigate to:

Project tab ➤ Disciplines … ➤ Discipline ➤ Analyse tab ➤ Configurations …

Applies to all disciplines.

Procedure

  1. Decide whether you also want to Detect 3D layers.
    This option applies to pipes and ducts from the Design 3D Pipe&Power module.
  2. Open the dialog Select Layer by clicking on the corresponding category or on the corresponding medium.
  3. You can either
    • enable all necessary layers individually with a click, or
    • carry out an automatic assignment by clicking on .
  4. Confirm your selection by clicking OK and repeat the steps for the remaining media or categories.

Results

The corresponding layers are set for detection and their contents are taken into account.
