Setting the Zone of a Component in Contact with the Ground

Shows step-by-step how to set the zone required by the standard for walls or floors in contact with the ground.

According to the standard, components adjoining the ground have to be assigned to a zone for the correct calculation of the total U-value. In the component overview at room level, these components are marked with the abbreviation g in the adjoining to column.

Procedure

  1. In the line of a component in contact with the ground, in the Z(i) column, click .
  2. Select a zone from the drop-down list.
  3. Repeat the steps for all components in contact with the ground.

Results

All components of your project in contact with the ground are zoned according to the requirements of the standard.
