About load limits

Explains the concept of the load limiting of cooling and heating systems in conjunction with the cooling load calculation.

In the dynamic cooling load calculation settings, you have the option to limit the capacity of the cooling or heating system for the calculation. If, at the time of the calculations, the capacity planned for the system is known, you can enter this here directly. If the capacity of the system has not yet been decided, load limits, in conjunction with a determination of the periods of excessive and inadequate temperatures, can be used to work out the capacity a cooling or heating system must provide in order to reach the desired room temperatures based on the set climatic data.

Load limits can be set in two ways: In the first variant, you enter an absolute value in Watts. The capacity of the system in question is then limited in the calculation per room to this absolute value. In the second variant, you enter a power in watts per square meter. In the second variant, the capacity of the system in question varies according to the size of the room. The power can be matched individually at room level if need be. To do this, you create new profile in the settings at room level and activate it to be used for the corresponding room.
