About Trades and Disciplines
Explains the concept of trades and disciplines in the context of pipes, ducts and components.
Disciplines are the highest organizational elements in the program structure: Examples are heating, cooling, waste water, potable water or ventilation. Each discipline is assigned to a trade. A trade can contain several disciplines; the disciplines potable water, wastewater and roof drainage, for example, are assigned to the trade sanitary. The assigned trade defines the layers on which pipes, ducts and components are drawn. Depending on the selected discipline, different planning types can be activated. The combination of discipline and planning type defines the range of functions on the other tabs of the control board.
