Approximate Heat Load

Explains the concept of approximate heat load calculation by means of quick entry.

The heat load calculation determined the energy requirement for heating a building to the specified target temperatures, taking into account the calculation basis selected in each case. Heat generators and heat transfer systems such as radiators or panel heating/cooling systems are then designed on the basis of the determined energy demand.

The approximate heat load calculation allows a quick entry of the rooms, where you define an area-related heat load in W/m². The area-related heat load can be assumed globally for all rooms or defined individually for each room. This eliminates the need to enter individual room components such as walls, windows and doors. After the quick entry, you can design the rooms based on the determined approximate heat load.

Note:

The approximate heat load calculation by means of quick entry does not replace the heat load calculation according to the standard and is only used for the approximate determination of area-related values.
