Insert a Gas Meter with Assistant

Shows step-by-step how to insert a gas meter into your drawing using the Gas Meter assistant.

Before you begin

You want to insert the component symbol for a gas meter into your drawing.

Navigate to:

Project tab ➤ Discipline Gas ➤ 2D / 3D Floor planning //2D / 3D Scheme planning ➤ Create tab ➤ Command group Symbols / Components

Procedure

  1. In the Symbols ... area, select the Valves symbol category from the drop-down list.
  2. Click on the Gas-meter assistant button .

    The Gas meter dialog opens.

  3. Make all the necessary settings in the Meter configuration area to define the technical data of the meter.
  4. Optional: If necessary, click on the calculator icon to open the Estimated gas meter dimensioning dialog.
    Note: In this dialog, you can enter planned consumers for your pipe network in a table to determine the expected nominal load for the gas meter and then transfer this to the configuration of the gas meter.
  5. Click on the Draw < button.
    The gas meter symbol is attached to the crosshairs.
  6. Click to place the symbol on the drawing area and click again to determine the alignment.

Results

You have added the gas meter symbol to your drawing.
