Details on Heating Manifold/Cooling Manifold
Information on the sections Heating manifold and Cooling manifold in panel heating/cooling.
Displays the circuits assigned to the manifold ports of the manifold selected in the pipe run view and their parameters. You can edit assignment of circuits and assign other manifold cabinet sets and closed-loop control systems. Before assigning another closed loop control, it has to be created first and a control component has to be assigned to it.
You are here:
Heating manifold/Cooling manifold
Manifold
Displays the pipe run and manifold name.
Supply water temp.
Specifies the supply water temperature of the manifold. You can set the supply water temperature for each manifold individually.
Manifold cabinet set
Specifies the assigned Manifold cabinet set. The button opens the Select a Manifold cabinet set dialog, in which other Manifold cabinet sets can be selected and accessories can be change or added, depending on the system.
Maximum number of connections
Shows the maximum quantity of connections of the manifold. The maximum number of connectors a manifold has depends on the manufacturer and cannot be be changed.
Connections radiators
Indicates how many radiators are connected to the manifold.
Connection sequence
In the Connection sequence area you can edit the arrangement of the circuits in the table. Single and multiple selected lines can be moved by one position or to the beginning or end of the table. The order of the remaining circuits remains unchanged and the numbering of the manifold ports are adjusted.
Close gaps: Automatically closes gaps in the numbering of manifold ports. The order of the circuits remains unchanged.
Table functions
By clicking you have the possibility to copy the contents of the table with or without column heading and paste it into Excel.
If you have selected individual rows or cells, you can copy the selected data with the key combinations Ctrl+C (with column heading) or Ctrl+Shift+C (without column heading) and paste it into Excel, for example.
Table of circuit zones
Displays the heating or cooling circuit zones connected to the manifold connections and their parameters.
Column | Description |
---|---|
Supplied zone in controlling room | Displays the name of the supplied zone. The naming is done according to the following scheme: if necessary building parts no./Storey no. / if necessary Apartment no./Room no. - Zone type room name if necessary dimensions of the laying sheets. |
Reg. | Defines the regulation of the circuit. : Opens the Select closed-loop ctrl system dialog, where the circuit can be assigned to another, previously created closed-loop control. Note: Since only one closed-loop control can occur in a room, the selection of a closed-loop control is automatically transferred to all circuits of this room. If multiple zones from different rooms are combined to form a circuit or a Tichelmann circuit, the first room seen from the manifold lead is always assumed to be the reference room. This assignment can be changed in the Manifold Connection section. |
Con. Length | Defines the sum of the connection lengths (flow + return) per heating or cooling circuit from the room inlet to the manifold and allows you to take additional connection lengths into account. An additional connection length is, for example, the last piece of the feed pipe from the floor up to the manifold port. Enter the sum of the additional connection lengths of the supply and return pipes. Additional connection lengths are taken into account in the material list and hydraulic balancing. The capacity output of additional connection lengths are not taken into account due to the lack of spatial classification and the undefined laying spacing. If a room contains several zones with varying connection lengths, a value of -1.00 is displayed in the Connection length field in the zone overviews in which you carry out quick layouts (Storey overview + quick dimensioning/Overview of apartment + quick dimensioning) Conn. len. field displays the value -1.00. |
m | Displays the mass flow rate of the circuit. |
v | Displays the flow velocity of the circuit. |
L | Displays the total length of the circuit including feed pipes of the circuit. |
dp | Displays the total of the pressure losses of the pipes and the completely open valve. For volume flow control units, the minimum working pressure is also considered. |
dp V | Indicates the additional pressure loss of the valve set for balancing the circuits. |
dp tot. | Displays the total pressure loss of the circuit with the valve set. |
Valve setting | Displays the flow rate or the setting value of the regulating valve, depending on the manifold type. For manifolds with flow meters, the valve position is specified in l/min. For manifolds with regulating valves, the setting value of the valve is specified (e.g. with rotations as the setting value). The data always refer to the selected products of the manufacturer. |
