Displaying Individual Components or All Components of a Class in the Drawing

Shows step-by-step how to display individual components or all components of a component class in your drawing.

Before you begin

You want to locate single components or all components of a component class in your drawing.

Navigate to:

Procedure

  1. Make sure that the Show components checkbox is selected.
  2. In the Component classes area, select the component classes whose components you want to display.
    If necessary, use the search function of the section to quickly find component classes.
    All components of the selected component class will be selected in the drawing.
  3. Activate the checkbox of the component class to display all available parameters of the class in the Parameters area.
  4. To generate a list of all components of the selected component class, activate any parameter of the component class in the right window.
    In the lower window of the dialog, a component list appears with all components of the component class and the values of the selected parameters.
  5. Select a row in the component list to select the corresponding component in the drawing.

Results

You have selected components of the selected component class in the drawing.

Tip: You can further process components selected in this way with other commands, for example with the Classify command.
