New E-learning Course: Calculation of Potable Water Networks in Revit
In this course, we show you our potable water pipe network calculation in Revit. In addition to the general dimensioning, we look at the special features of the potable water calculation, such as hygiene in connection with the temperatures of the medium. We explain how the factors of ambient temperature, thermal insulation and contamination are taken into account in the calculation. We also discuss the required pressures at the taps and the consideration of simultaneity.
In the settings, you make global specifications for the pipe network calculation. There are different calculation specifications and setting options for detection of components and system types for each discipline.
In the calculation dialog you will find an overview of all flow paths, with associated sections and components.
We look at the reports and show possible solutions.
The ambient temperature of sections can be set under Environment. Here you can also find out where which ambient temperatures are set and these are visualized in the model.
Within the calculation, you can specify with one click which materials are to be used for the automatic assignment and calculation of the pipe networks.
We look at the extensive hygiene functions, such as the ejection process. Here you can simulate how long it takes for the temperature to be tested to reach the tap.
Finally, we look at the results in the printout including material lists.
