The course shows how drawings are organized and edited in AutoCAD. We demonstrate how to work with layers and illustrate the relationships in the display of objects depending on properties such as line thickness, line types, colors, transparencies and the display sequence using examples. We also answer the question of which tools are available to design precisely and how they influence the amount of data.

AutoCAD is a drawing program that can be used to create almost anything. Simple basic elements such as lines, circles or surfaces placed in a 3-dimensional space can be viewed and output from any angle. We will show you the possibilities: from the simplest basic elements to symbols, diagrams, electrical connection plans, complex facades, pieces of furniture, building floor plans, escape plans, construction details, 3D detailed plans and even virtual reality.
We also go into the function of AutoCAD layers. A layer can be thought of as a slide. If you place all the slides on top of each other, you can see the contents of all the slides at the same time. If you remove a slide, its contents are missing.
We also look at the object properties and show their dependency on layers or blocks.
In a further part of the course, you will learn what blocks are used for and what the advantage is compared to copying objects.
We also go into grouping and show you how to create groups, how to edit them and which variables are involved.
The last chapter deals with functions with which you can create a clean drawing, for example with straight lines, concrete distances, exact connections and much more.
