About Pipes, Ducts and Cable Trays

Explains the concept of constructing pipes, ducts and cable trays.

When designing pipes, ducts and cable trays; pipes, ducts, cable trays and conduits are inserted into the model using fittings if necessary. Neutral systems and systems from different manufacturers are available. The pipe/duct or cable tray has to be selected based on the manufacturer, the system and the dimensions. Depending on the selected discipline, either the function Pipes <, Ducts < or Cable trays / Conduits < is displayed.

Install an appropriate data set to use manufacturer systems. Manufacturer data sets can be downloaded via the LINEAR Installation Center. Which dimensions are available depends on the selected system.

If you are working in an existing project that already contains pipe, duct or cable tray systems that you have not installed as LINEAR dataset, these systems are available under the manufacturer name undefined.
