Creating Spaces
Explains the concept of spaces.
Unlike architectural models, the TBE models use spaces instead of architectural rooms to divide the building into rooms. The reason for this is that spaces include data which are not available in architectural rooms, such as air volumes or thermal loads for thermal building analysis. After linking the architecture with the TBE model, this situation requires a reallocation of spaces. The tools in the Construction tab for Architecture largely automate this process.
After building detection, the parameters of spaces can be used to calculate building loads. The results of the calculations can be written back to the spaces and used, for example, for labeling.
