Update Building from CAD

Shows step-by-step how to update an already detected building with new data from CAD.

Before you begin

You have an already detected building in LINEAR Building and would like to update modifications in CAD according toLINEAR Building.

Requirements:

You have opened either Revit, AutoCAD or CADinside with the corresponding building. A connection to the CAD has been established.

You have made the required settings in the CAD program.

Navigate to:

Module Overview

Module Overview Linear Building

Procedure

  1. Click File ➤ Update building from CAD.
  2. Update the data of components that have been modified in CAD.

    Components modified in CAD are recreated by LINEAR Building during the update. U-values are not overwritten, but all other data are.

Results

Your project in LINEAR Building is updated and corresponds to the state in CAD.
