About Building Detection

Explains the building detection concept in relation to the heat load calculation.

During building detection, all information necessary for requirement calculation is transferred from the connected CAD to LINEAR Building. If the architectural model is prepared accordingly, even complex wall structures with all thermal properties are detected. If you created load profiles, entered ventilation data or created building parts, this information can also be entered and taken into account in the calculations.

Once a building is detected, you can change the values of LINEAR parameters in LINEAR Building or add parameters and write them back to a connected CAD. The prerequisite for updating these LINEAR parameters in Revit is that they are listed on the first position in the Revit parameter manager.
