Details on Pipe Laying

Information about the Pipe laying section in the panel heating/cooling discipline.

Construct panel heating circuits and panel cooling circuits within construction areas.

Pipe laying <

Constructs panel heating circuits or panel cooling circuits within the selected construction areas.

System

Select the manufacturer, the system, and the pipe dimension.

Laying pattern/Grid

Select the laying pattern and the grid. The grid is the distance between the pipe axes. The half grid size is respected at the edge of the construction area.

Simplified display

Activated: Panel heating circuits and panel cooling circuits are shown in the simplified display. In the simplified display no detailed families are generated with laying patterns for each circuit. This makes it possible to keep the file size of the project small.

After pipe laying, a placeholder appears for the circuit in the assigned construction area. The placeholder is linked permanently to the room fill point arranged in the middle of the construction area.

Note:

Moving the placeholder causes the linked room fill point in the construction area also to move. This can cause the room fill point to leave the construction area it is assigned to, and lead to errors.

Deactivated: Panel heating circuits and panel cooling circuits are displayed in detail, and for each circuit a corresponding family is generated with the laying patterns.

You can switch freely between the two display types. You can do this both with Assign setting < as well as with the functions in the Edit circuits < section. Converting between the two types of display allows you to first work with the simplified display in the early planning phases, for example, and refine the design later on.

Assign settings <

Change the system, laying patterns, grids and type of display of panel heating circuits and panel cooling circuits that were already constructed.
