Selecting Pipe Sytem
Shows step by step how to select the pipe system which is to be used for pipe network calculations.
Before you begin
You want to select a pipe system for the calculation and dimensioning which is given out in the material lists.
Requirement:
If you want to use manufacturer pipe systems, select the desired manufacturer under Product data.
Navigate to:
Applies to: Heating, Potable water, Waste water, Ventilation, Cooling, Gas.
Procedure
- Select the Manufacturer and the System.
- Activate the Active field for the pipe system you want to use.
- If you want to exclude individual pipe dimensions from use, open the lower table by clicking on Details <<, if necessary. Note:
When starting the pipe network calculation, the smallest dimension is selected for all section parts that have not been fixed. The smallest dimension always is the first active dimension in the pipe tables. If you do not want to fall below a certain dimension, deactivate the smaller dimensions in the pipe tables. Deactivated dimensions are still available for manual selection in the calculation dialog in the Section part section.
- If necessary, deactivate the Active field for the pipe dimensions you do not want to use for calculation.
- Close the dialog with OK.
Results
The selected material is used for calculation and is given out in the calculation dialog as well as the material lists.
