Defining Component Connections

Shows step by step how to define type of connections for components.

Before you begin

With type of connections you add additional connection material to the material list.

Requirement:

The pipe network is detected.

Navigate to:

Project tab ➤ Discipline ➤ Analyse tab

Applies to: Heating, Cooling, Potable water.

Procedure

  1. Open the Components section.
  2. Click Connections .... <.
  3. Select the component, whose connections are to be defined.

    The Connections at this component dialog opens.

  4. If you want to assign the same type of connection to all connections, activate the All connections at the component are the same check box.
  5. If you want to assign different types of connection to the connections, deactivate the All connections at the component are the same check box and select the desired connection from the drop-down list.
  6. Click Define connection....

    The Connections for ... dialog opens.

  7. Select the type of connection and the connection dimension and confirm with OK .
  8. If necessary, assign the other connections and close the Connections at this component dialog with OK.

Results

The selected connections are defined and the corresponding connecting material is given out in the material list.
