Material data

Explains the concept of the material data in the pipe network calculation for Heating, Cooling and Potable water.

In the Pipes and Insulations dialog, you will find predefined material combinations for different applications. For each use case, you can specify the desired material from all available manufacturers. The selected use case is automatically applied for material allocation in the model when calculating the pipe network. Furthermore, you can create user-defined use cases with neutral or also with manufacturer material. All use cases can also be assigned manually in the model if required. Manually assigned material combinations are not overwritten by the automatic material assignment during the calculation. All assigned materials in the model are taken into account in the output and material combination.

Install an appropriate data set to use manufacturer systems. Manufacturer data sets can be downloaded via the LINEAR Installation Center. Which dimensions are available depends on the selected system.
