Division
Use fixed grid
Activated: Divides the selected component in a grid, the size of which you define in the X-distance and Y-distance fields. If only the X-distance is changed, the same value for the Y-distance is used. The grid cells are square in this case. To create a rectangular grid, adjust both distances as desired. The Number of elements is automatically adjusted according to the grid size. The components are placed centrally in the defined grid cells.
Deactivated: The grid size changes flexibly depending on the set edge distances and the specified columns and rows. The components are placed evenly in the grid starting at the grid origin (row 1, column 1).
Edge distances
The distance of the grid from the edges of the defined rectangle.
Number of elements
The number of columns and rows for the grid. This ratio is automatically determined for a fixed grid size, but can also be adjusted.
