Details on Reference Line
For information on the command Reference lines, see Labeling on the Create tab.
You are here:
If a text object has already been inserted in the drawing, you may use this command to create a reference line from the text object to one or multiple pipes (line objects). At the points where the reference line crosses pipes, selectively nodes or forward slashes with an adjustable diameter will be inserted.
The reference line may also point to a freely selectable position in order to label other objects than lines. This is only possible by using the Node at reference line or Only at endpoint options.
Diameter
Defines the diameter of the reference line.
Node at reference line
This option creates nodes with the selected diameter at the end of the reference line and where it crosses lines.
Node at reference line, Only at endpoint
The node is created only at the endpoint of the reference line and any cross points with lines are ignored. This option needs to be activated even if a reference line does not end on a line but on a free position.
Forward slash at reference line
Use this option to create a forward slash with the length of the designated diameter at the end of the reference line and where it crosses pipes.
Select media
Tick the Select media box if a reference line crosses multiple pipes but only particular media should be considered for the node or slash.
