Details on Technical Data for Solar Collector
Information on the technical data dialog for Solar collectors.
The solar collectors are treated like heat generators of a multiple boiler system. The collectors may be dimensioned with a maximum solar capacity of 1000 W per m² of collector surface. At the heat exchanger, the total collector surface multiplied by 1000 W/m² will be entered as the total heat capacity.
You are here:
Name
Specifies the name of the component. You can modify the name. Clicking restores the default setting.
Supply- and return water temperature
For the first calculation you may enter the system temperatures in a shared dialog. The temperatures of the individual collectors ought to be the same. You may enter the supply water and return water temperatures by dividing the values by a blank or a slash ( / ).
Portion of generator
In the technical data dialogs you may specify the proportion of the heat generation that is provided by the collector.
Water volume
Enter the water volume of the solar collectors here. This value will be used for the calculation of the system volume and for the dimensioning of the diaphragm expansion tank. If the water volume has not been specified, a report will be issued during calculation. This only occurs with a diaphragm expansion tank installed.
Zeta value, Pressure loss
Enter either a fixed zeta value or a fixed, absolute pressure loss in Pa.
Medium
At first, the globally selected medium (fluid) via Medium button from the main dialog will be used.
