Creating Your Own Location and Climate Data

Shows step-by-step how to create a dataset with your own location and climate data.

Before you begin

The location of your project is not included in the supplied location and climate data sets and you want to create your own data set for a country or region.

Navigate to:

Module overview ➤ Heat load ➤ Project level ➤ General heat load data ➤ Building structure ➤ Project level ➤ 2. Building data ➤ Location, Position

Applies to heat load, cooling load short procedure, domestic ventilation concept.

Procedure

  1. Click Location....
    Note:

    From the Domestic ventilation - concept module, open the Location dialog by clicking the upper button on the General concept data tab in the Location, Position area.

    The Location dialog opens.

  2. In the upper right area of the dialog, click .

    The Create or edit region/place dialog opens.

  3. Fill in the mandatory fields Country (name of the data set), Location (name of the first location of the data set) and Standard outside temperature (of the first location), enter additional information if necessary and click OK.

Results

You have now created your own dataset with the first location and the associated values.

What to do next

You can add more locations to your data set using the button below the selection window of the Location dialog. The button allows you to edit the data of existing locations and add more postal code areas to the locations.
